and emitters that you would propose for the Leisure Centre rooms.

Heating Needs
1. For this task, I have devised the following table to list all the separate areas of the building, and my opinion of what type of heating (if any) is best suited to it.

Underfloor Heating |
My Reasoning is as follows:
Unmanned Area, already high ambient temperature due to plant.
Electrical
Unmanned Area, possibly has an already high ambient temperature due to plant
Toilets- Underfloor
Heating.
Radiators are generally fine for heating toilets to the CIBSE recommended ~19oC, although there are several reasons why I have chosen underfloor heating in this application.
Activity Room- Ceiling
Mounted Radiant Panels
It’s not clear what exactly the activities will be in this room, but I assume that its primary use will be the likes of Keep fit classes etc, with perhaps the occasional sedentary activity. By looking at the plans, we can see that there is full height windows on 3 of the walls in this room.
Based on these parameters, I propose to use ceiling mounted radiant panels. In theory these would be on first thing in the morning to bring the room up to temperature (13-16 oC) and then turned off for the most of day whilst it is in use. With the panels being on the ceiling it eliminates the risk of burns as well as the possibility of injury resulting from falling over/onto a low-level radiator during an activity.
Entrance Foyer-
Electric Air Curtain
As no one will be in this area for prolonged period, I think
an air curtain will be sufficient to eliminate the cold draught. I’d imagine
that a 6kW electric air curtain would be suitable. Depending on whether it is a windy area, it may
be an idea to invest in a porch/revolving door to further eliminate any
draughts.
